1. What the product collects: nothing
Organiee is local-first by design. Your conversations, notes, and search index live in a database and Markdown files on your own machine. The Organiee software does not transmit your content to us — there is no telemetry, no analytics, and no account system inside the product. Optional sync, if you enable it, uses your own iCloud and never touches our servers.
2. What the store collects
Free serial: your name and email address, used to issue and deliver your serial key and to contact you about critical updates to something you installed.
Purchase: additionally, your billing address, order history, and payment status. Card details are processed entirely by Stripe — they never reach our server. We see only the payment result and the last digits Stripe shows every merchant.
License activation: when you activate a serial, we store the serial, an anonymized machine identifier, and the activation time, to enforce license limits and let you deactivate old machines.
Server logs: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and debugging, rotated on a short schedule.
3. What we never do
We do not sell or share your data. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics on this site. We do not send marketing email — you will hear from us about your order, your license, and significant product news, nothing else. This site sets only the cookies required for the cart and checkout to work, which is why you did not see a cookie banner.
4. Legal basis and retention
We process the data above to perform our contract with you (issuing serials, delivering purchases) and for our legitimate interest in securing the service. Order records are retained as long as required by Japanese bookkeeping and tax law; license records for as long as your license is valid; logs briefly.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict processing, by contacting the address above. If you are in the EU/UK, these are your GDPR rights and you may also complain to your local supervisory authority. Deleting your data does not delete your forest — that was always on your machine, not ours.
6. Processors and transfers
We use Stripe, Inc. for payment processing and Xserver Inc. (Japan) for hosting. Your data is processed in Japan and by these processors in their respective regions under their standard safeguards.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new date. The promise in section 1 is architectural, not editorial — it cannot quietly change, because the product would have to change first.
